Christina Marakas Ravndal

Christina Marakas Ravndal serves as Director, Legal Commercial & Litigation at SGS, the global leader in testing, inspection and certification with close to 100’000 employees at over 2500 sites worldwide, and CHF 6.79 billion of revenues in 2024.
In her current role she is responsible for litigation at group level, as well as advising SGS’s Natural Resources segment (Oil & Gaz, Minerals and Agri-commodities) on complex international matters. Previously, when joining SGS in 2024 and onwards, she worked on strategic M&A projects for SGS.
With over 25 years of experience in international commercial law, litigation and cross-border transactions, Mrs. Marakas managed major multi-jurisdictions asset carve-outs and integrations and, shaped legal risk management for global companies. She set up international legal departments and had ample occasions for managing international litigation work.
Mrs Marakas gained specific expertise in the life sciences business where she was active as member of international management teams for 15 years.
